Tiered Metal Kitchen Cart Makeover

Isn’t this a gem? Maybe not yet, but it does have great potential. Yes, I saw this cart’s future, and it was good. Except for the rust and dirt, the cart was in good shape and has two handles, one on each side–that’s a plus. Let’s see what a little scrubbing, painting and stenciling can do!

Repurposed Typewriter Table into Beer Cart


Old metal typewriter tables can be found at garage sales, flea markets and sometimes, even left out on a curb. Many are sold online as well, which is where I found this beauty. [Please disregard the backgammon board in front of the table. At the time, I thought I would pair the two. Plans changed.]

Take a Seat: Industrial Chair Makeover


I’m really trying to create functional furniture with my flea market find transformations. The $30 desk secretary I bought at a flea market, from the original owner’s daughter, is one of my favorite makeovers. You can find the details and tutorial on my post, “Desk Secretary Gets Promotion” here.

As useful as the desk is, it needed a chair. Cue the $5 industrial chair which I picked up in a warehouse sale. The metal chair was in good shape, however, the cushion would need recovering. 20160402_144752
